The Signature Experience

The Signature Experience is just that - the complete session experience that has made Lindsay Horn Photography one of the most sought after senior photographers in Dallas. 

The Signature Experience includes the following: 

  • A 2 hour session at 1-2 locations with up to 4 wardrobe changes 
  • Professional airbrush makeup and hair styling
  • An in-person/virtual consultation before your session to finalize locations, wardrobe, props, etc.
  • An in-person ordering appointment at your home after your session where you will have access to fully edited printed proofs as well as samples of each product that I offer
  • A printed Welcome Packet filled with information to help you prepare for your session in every way - a What to Wear guide, Hair and Skincare guide, Colors and Skin Tones guide, session checklist, and more

The Signature Experience has a session retainer of $395 (plus tax) and an $850 minimum order requirement. The session retainer does not include any prints or products and is not applied to the minimum order requirement. The minimum order requirement is collected at your ordering appointment along with the balance of your order. Sessions take place during the week (typically Monday and Tuesday), weekend sessions are not available.

Most Signature clients choose to invest anywhere from $1650-$3500 on their custom portraits. A la carte portrait prices begin at $65 for Gift Portraits (size 8x12 and smaller), and $195 for Wall Portraits. Both print and digital collections are available starting at $1100 and offer substantial savings over a la carte pricing. I offer a variety of heirloom-quality products including gallery wrapped fine art canvases, storyboard collages, custom created session albums, mini brag books, and an array of press-printed open house invitations and graduation announcements. Digital files are also available for purchase as part of a collection.

The Modern Experience

The LHP Modern Experience is an all-inclusive option for busy seniors who know exactly what they want and are looking for a simple and streamlined session experience with a focus on digital files. 

The Modern Experience includes the following: 

  • A 1 hour session at 1 location with 2-3 wardrobe changes
  • 10 High Resolution digital files with print release 
  • An email consultation before your session to finalize location, wardrobe, props, etc.
  • An online gallery after your session with approximately 30 images where you can quickly and easily make your final selections
  • A custom mobile app for sharing your final selections digitally among friends and family and for posting on social media
  • Access to a digital Welcome Packet full of session prep materials - a What to Wear guide, Hair and Skincare guide, Colors and Skin Tones guide, and more
  • Ability to add on additional digital files after the session (see below)
  • Ability to purchase certain standard portrait products at 15% off of a la carte pricing

The all-inclusive Modern session fee is $1250 (plus tax). Sessions take place during the week (typically Monday and Tuesday), weekend sessions are not available. A 50% retainer due at the time of booking holds your date, while the other 50% is due on or before the session date.

  • Single additional digital file - $195
  • (5) additional digital files - $450
  • (10) additional digital files - $750

Grab a friend and book your Modern Sessions on the same day to save some money and have some fun!

Do you have a best friend that you want to share your LHP Modern Experience with? Book your sessions together on the same day (and at the same location) to save $150 EACH on your Modern session fee! We can shoot the sessions one after the other or concurrently, and of course, that means getting some fun shots with your best friend too! 

Which session is right for me?

Choose the Signature Experience if:

  • Your schedule is flexible enough to allow for the in-person consultation and ordering appointment
  • You would prefer more hands-on help in choosing wardrobe, location, etc
  • You want the whole "movie star" treatment including a longer session with more variety
  • You are interested in custom products like wall art or albums (in addition to digital files)

Choose the Modern Experience if:

  • Your schedule is packed and you may not have time for extra in-person meetings 
  • You feel confident about your style and preferences, including type of location and outfits
  • You prefer something simple and aren't interested in all of the "extras" 
  • You are a DIY-er or simply prefer digital files as your final product

Frequently Asked Questions

1) When and where do sessions take place? 

I shoot at a wide variety of locations all over the greater Dallas area, but the final choice is up to you! I usually present the best options based on each client's style and preferences and then we work together to select the perfect location for you. 

My sessions are scheduled on weekdays only - typically Mondays and/or Tuesdays. We usually aim to shoot in the 2-3 hours before sunset, although in the heat of the summer (July and August), I schedule sessions during the early morning hours to knock 20-25 degrees off of the heat. It's well worth the early wake-up call! 

2) What is the investment? 

I'm excited to be offering two different options this year to serve two different types of clients. I still offer the traditional LHP Signature Experience that includes a longer session with more variety, in-person appointments, and all of the bells and whistles. This option requires a session retainer (plus tax) to secure your date and a minimum order requirement that is paid along with the balance of your product order at your ordering appointment. In addition, I'm now offering the LHP Modern Experience as a more stream-lined all-inclusive option.

3) What type of editing is included?

I completely edit and retouch each image that appears in your final gallery. Editing is an important part of the artistic process and I will never show you an unfinished product. My standard retouching process includes artistic editing in addition to blemish removal, skin smoothing, and any other basic retouching deemed necessary. Special requests beyond standard retouching (such as braces removal) may incur an additional fee. 

4) Do you offer digital files? 

Yes! For clients booking the Signature Experience, digital files are available for purchase through our flexible collections. The all-inclusive Modern Experience includes a set number of digital files, with the ability to add on additional digital files after the session. All digital files purchases come with a print release for unlimited personal printing up to size 8x12 as well as access to an online gallery where you can purchase professionally printed portraits of your files at a highly discounted rate. 

5) I'm in, how do I book?

Your selected date will be held for a 5-day grace period while you submit the contract and payment online. 

Please note that if you would like to book a BFF Modern Session, both parties will need to provide their contact info on the booking form as two separate contracts and invoices will be sent out.
