This is my sixth annual Project Beauty shoot, and it is still without question my favorite shoot of the year. Our shoot happened back in August and, as usual, I asked the girls to come in with NO makeup so that we could capture each girl's God-given natural beauty. This year I accepted nominations from our community again and we had 4 lovely girls join my LHP senior models for our shoot!
I'm so thankful to each and every Project Beauty participant - I know how difficult it can be to put yourself out there in this way. You are all stunning and precious just the way you are, and most importantly, your inner beauty is just as bright as your outer beauty. Keep letting your lights shine!
Keep scrolling to meet each girl and hear what they had to say about the experience or beauty in general.
"Wearing makeup has always been a comfort zone for me. This shoot embraces the natural features and inspires me to embrace that beautifulness found within each of us.” ~ Ansley
"Project Beauty was by far my favorite shoot with Lindsay. The better understanding of god’s natural beauty and being able to express being your true self through a camera was an amazing experience. Being able to see all my friends and I be vulnerable and feel confident behind the camera as well as having a better understanding that you don’t have to wear makeup to be beautiful was an amazing experience.” ~ Aubrey
"Project Beauty was an incredibly inspiring and important shoot for me. I have always struggled to find beauty underneath makeup and refused to leave the house without mascara at the least. This shoot made me understand my God-given beauty and I am so thankful to Lindsay and this opportunity for showing me the importance behind appreciating my natural self.” ~ Barron
"Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity for Emily to participate in the beauty project. The photos are amazing! I love how you captured the joy Emily felt being a part of this project.
Psalms 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” ~ Emily's Mom
"I am so glad that I was able to be a part of this shoot! Watching everyone embrace their true selves was so much fun and was a real and raw experience for me. I loved just being able to be myself and not worrying about anything. This was a new experience for me and I’m grateful that I was a part of it!” ~ Emma
"Natural beauty is hard thing most girls are insecure about. Whether it be because of acne, not the body type you prefer, your smile not being perfect, or even simply just insecurities all around. It really opened my eyes to see girls nominated of all different shapes and sizes laughing and feeling beautiful. I’m thankful I got to be apart of it and feel the best about myself without covering up my insecurities and simply loving myself a little more. I hope others can learn to love who they are and not who they want to be!” ~ Jordan
"I was so scared for this shoot! Going without makeup isn’t something I do often, so getting in front of the camera without it was new for me. It made me feel more natural and more myself than ever!” ~Julia
"I loved Project Beauty because it was an opportunity to do something new, something I haven’t done before. Being embraced in my own skin in front of a camera was a unique experience that made me feel confident in myself. Getting to share this experience with such a wonderful group of girls helped me to grasp the natural beauty of everyone around me, I loved it!” ~ Margaux
"After taking these pictures I have never realized the you don’t need makeup to feel pretty. Girls should know that God made you special compared to everybody else and you shouldn’t be afraid to hide your beauty. It is what makes you, you.” ~ McKenna
"This shoot is one of my favorites because everyone was out of their comfort zone embracing who they are while also finding their inner confidence in their natural beauty.” ~ Sadie
"Project Beauty was such an amazing project to be a part of! Served as a great reminder that makeup only enhances our beauty, it does not create it. When the makeup gets stripped away you can really start to notice what makes everyone shine on the inside!” ~ Zoe
